Booking / Payment / Cancellation Policy

Booking Policy

FAMILY / SENIOR PORTRAITS

For all family portrait sessions, a 50% non-refundable retainer deposit is required at the time of booking. This retainer deposit reserves your date and time we will photograph together. The remaining balance is due at the time of our photo session.

WEDDING

For all weddings, a 50% non-refundable retainer deposit is required after our contract is signed in order to reserve your wedding date. The remaining balance is split into two equal portions: the first is due two months before the wedding date and the second is due one month before the wedding date.

Payment Policy

All sessions, packages, and prints can be paid using cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, ApplePay, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express as forms of payment.

If paying by check, the check must first clear before any deliverables are turned over to you (example: online gallery). Any uncleared check will incur a $35 charge to cover banking fees.

Cancellation Policy

FAMILY / SENIOR PORTRAITS

In the event you must cancel (first instance), your retainer deposit rolls over to the next available date we can photograph together AND is subject to any new pricing policy (if any) in effect at the time of rebooking. In the event you cancel the rescheduled session (second instance), the retainer deposit is forfeit. Rebooking will require a new retainer deposit to be paid to secure the date and time you wish to photograph on.

WEDDING

You may cancel the contract by providing written notice no later than 30 days before the wedding. You understand that any monies paid up to the date of cancellation are forfeit.

Special Circumstances

I get it. Sometimes bad things happen that are out of our control. Below are a list of things that may get in the way of our photo shoot and how we will handle them together.

Inclement Weather

Family

Bad weather is a bummer - a hail storm, lightning, and wind that can sweep us away are never fun to deal with. In the event bad weather spoils our photo session, you will not have to cancel our photo session as defined above. Instead, your retainer deposit is rolled over to the next available date we can photograph together.

Wedding

In order to protect highly expensive electronic equipment, if weather factors (ex: rain and/or lightning, etc.) are present during any portion of the wedding, I will not be expected or required to photograph outdoors or be liable in any capacity for a lower quantity of photographs submitted.

Act Of God

We both understand and assume the risks and dangers of travel and if, in the event that a last-minute horrific event occurs while I'm en route to the photo session preventing me from photographing, I will refund you all monies paid to date.

COVID-19 and/or CDC-defined Pandemic

Given the history of the most recent pandemic, we both agree on the following measures should there be a need to reschedule. If you decide to reschedule due to concerns pertaining to a CDC (Center for Disease Control)-defined pandemic, we will discuss a viable reschedule date that is mutually beneficial no more than 13 months from the original date we were to photograph together. In this event, the entirety of the retainer deposit and any additional monies paid will carryover to the newly agreed upon date.

Wildfire(s) and Air Quality

In the event a wildfire(s) create immediate threat to life and/or Unhealthy air quality conditions (per U.S. Environmental Protection Agency guidelines) for the day we are to photograph, we will discuss a viable reschedule date that is mutually beneficial no more than 13 months from the original date we were to photograph together. In this event, you must provide notice no less than 1 day before we are to photograph. The entirety of the retainer deposit and any additional monies paid will carryover to the newly agreed upon date.
