Amanda & Jacob’s Oregon Forest Wedding at Skyliner Lodge
Amanda and Jacob’s Skyliner Lodge Wedding in Bend, Oregon had everything you want in a summer celebration—towering pines, a mountain breeze, and that peaceful hum of nature you can only find deep in the woods. Nestled into the hillside above Bend, this rustic venue sits beside Tumalo Creek, where the water rolls gently behind the ceremony site. The whole place feels like grown-up summer camp, surrounded by forest, laughter, and the kind of quiet that reminds you how good life can be.
First Look and Private Vows in the Woods
Jacob was buzzing from the moment I arrived. He paced, adjusted his jacket, laughed nervously—it was clear this guy was ready to see his bride. And when he finally did, everything changed. The second Amanda walked up behind him in that incredible dress and got to turn around, the tension melted away. You could see it in his shoulders, his smile, everything.
They read private vows tucked away among the trees, with just the sound of the wind and the creek nearby. It was the kind of moment that reminds you why you do this work. Amanda was radiant, calm, and completely present. Jacob couldn’t take his eyes off her.
The Ceremony
Their ceremony followed the classic Pacific Northwest playbook—short, sweet, and full of emotion. With the forest as their backdrop, they made promises surrounded by their closest family and friends. Amanda and Jacob’s love felt easy and genuine, and every person there was fully present with them.
Details, Desserts, and Toasts
What stood out most about Amanda and Jacob’s day were all the personal touches woven throughout the celebration. Amanda’s mom handmade the cake and the macarons, which honestly deserve their own spotlight. They were stunning: delicate, colorful, and ridiculously good. And seriously!!!... have you ever seen a heart-shaped macaron? The salted caramel were my personal favorite.
Their setup fit the relaxed forest vibe perfectly. Guests played on a custom cornhole board featuring the couple’s name, admired strings of Polaroid photos from throughout the night, and laughed through a series of toasts that leaned more toward roasts. Jacob took the spotlight more than once but rolled with it like a pro, smiling through every story shared about him.
Creekside Portrait Session
As the sun stretched further west, we made our way down to the creek for portraits—and this is where things really came alive. The light was soft, golden, and filtered perfectly through the trees. The water added this cool, quiet rhythm in the background as they laughed and took it all in.
Amanda and Jacob were naturals in front of the camera. They joked, smiled, and showed that kind of love that doesn’t need direction—it just happens. The whole session felt like an extension of who they are together: easygoing, full of life, and completely connected.
Dancing Under the Lights
As the night rolled in, guests filled the space behind the lodge where twinkle lights strung between the trees gave off that perfect glow. Their first dance felt easy and natural, followed by plenty of dancing, laughter, and a bouquet toss that capped off the night in classic style.
Amanda and Jacob’s Skyliner Lodge Wedding in Bend, Oregon wasn’t about grand productions or over-the-top moments. It was about connection. Two people in love, surrounded by those who mean the most, celebrating in a place that felt like them—laid back, beautiful, and full of life.
