Red Barn Villa: A Stunning Oregon City Wedding Venue
Kelsey and Cody’s wedding at Red Barn Villa in Oregon City was the kind of day that reminds me why I love photographing weddings in the Pacific Northwest. The venue itself is one of the most welcoming properties you’ll find around Portland, with a big red barn, sweeping countryside views, and a forest ceremony site that feels incredibly private and romantic. It’s one of those spaces that just fits couples who want something timeless but also laid back.
Details, First Look, and Private Vows
My coverage started with capturing the details that tied Kelsey and Cody’s day together. From there, we jumped straight into their first look and private vows. It was a quiet moment that gave them space before the day really picked up. Afterwards, the wedding party joined in for portraits, and this crew was such a blast. With seven on each side, there was no shortage of laughs and personality. They brought the energy and made the photos as fun as they were memorable.
Ceremony in the Forest Glen
The ceremony site at Red Barn Villa is tucked away in an intimate forest glen. That’s where Kelsey and Cody chose to exchange vows, and it was perfect. Short, sweet, and exactly what you’d expect from a Pacific Northwest ceremony. Under 15 minutes start to finish, but packed with meaning. Cody’s sister Samantha officiated and carried the moment with style and humor.
Golden Hour Vibes
Before the party really kicked off, I pulled Kelsey and Cody aside for their portrait session. Red Barn Villa is surrounded by forest and open space, and these two lit it up. They were relaxed, laughing, and completely in their element together. The light filtered through the trees in all the right ways, giving us some incredible shots that showed both their connection and the natural beauty of the venue.
Toasts, Family, and Celebration
Cocktail hour flowed easily into the reception, with guests enjoying drinks and conversation while dinner was served. Cody’s brother Austin took on the role of best man and MC, keeping the energy high and the room laughing with one of the funniest roast-style toasts I’ve ever heard. The maid of honor balanced it with her own thoughtful words, and together they framed the evening perfectly. From there the celebration rolled on with first dances, cake cutting, and plenty of action out on the outdoor dance floor. It was the kind of night that felt effortless, fun, and true to who Kelsey and Cody are.
Dance Floor Energy
Once the formalities wrapped, the energy shifted outside to the dance floor. Guests filled the space with laughter, dancing, and the kind of joy you hope for at a wedding. It was the perfect way to close out a day that started with private vows in a forest glen and ended with a full-on celebration surrounded by family and friends.
