how a Mountain in Bend Became The Backdrop For Jordan & Bryan's Love Story

The Only Location That Made Sense

Some locations are so right! Mt. Bachelor has been part of Jordan and Bryan's story since day one. They met in Bend during college, spent their winters learning to snowboard together up on this exact mountain, and never really looked back. So when they told me they wanted to do their engagement session at Bachelor, I did not need any more convincing.

A snowy mountain landscape with ski slopes and ski lifts visible in the background.
A person's snowboard and boot on a snowy surface, with a ski lift visible in the background.
A person in winter clothing is skiing down a snowy mountain slope with a ski lift visible in the background.
A person skiing down a snowy slope on a sunny day in the mountains.
Two people walking on a snowy path surrounded by pine trees in a winter landscape.
Two people snowboarding on a snowy mountain slope surrounded by pine trees.

A Good Day on The Mountain

The snowpack this season has been pretty rough across the region, but you would not have known it standing on the slopes with these two. Warm March sun, soft groomers, and views that remind you exactly why people choose to live in Central Oregon. It had been a while since Jordan and Bryan had been on snow together, and watching them find their stride again was one of the best parts of my time with them. Wide smiles, easy laughs, and two people who are just completely at home when they are sliding downhill.

Two skiers ride up a ski lift on a snowy mountain slope with trees in the background.
Shadows of tree branches cast on a snowy surface.
Two people are snowboarding on a snowy slope in a winter landscape.
Two people riding on a ski lift chair in a snowy forest.
A snowboarder in winter gear sits on the snowy ground, surrounded by pine trees.

They didn't need direction, other than "go down!" :)

What I love most about sessions like this is how little direction they actually need. Jordan and Bryan are natural in front of a camera, especially when you put them somewhere that already means something to them. The candid moments between runs, the way they naturally gravitate toward each other, the ear to ear grins that keep coming. That is the good stuff. That is what makes a session like this work.

Two people, a man and a woman, are snowboarding on a snowy slope.
A snowy mountain landscape with skiers on the slopes, surrounded by pine trees and a cloudy sky.
A snowboarder on a slope with a 'GNU' logo on the snowboard.
A bearded man wearing a ski helmet and goggles sits on a snowmobile in a snowy mountain landscape.
A snowy mountain landscape is visible in the background, with skiers or snowboarders in the foreground.
Two people stand on a snowy mountain slope with snow-capped peaks in the background.

Let's plan Yours

If you are thinking about a winter engagement session at Mt. Bachelor or anywhere in Central Oregon, I would love to talk. This kind of session is exactly what I am here for.
